Gry Maritha entered Penzance Dry Dock on Sunday 15th October for its 6 monthly refit including bottom and tail-shaft surveys by Lloyds Register; with plans to return to service on Monday 30th October.

During the tail-shafts survey the port tail-shaft was found to be slightly damaged and we have been instructed by our surveyor to make immediate repairs. The port tail-shaft has been removed today, Friday 20th October, and sent away for assessment and repair.

Should this essential work result in a delayed return to service, we will continue to use Scillonian III to run freight services as required.

At this stage we are still aiming for Gry Maritha to return to schedule as planned on Monday 30th October.

We would like to assure you that we are doing all we can to minimise disruption to our freight services.
