Celebrate Bike Week on the Isles of Scilly This June! 🚴‍♀️🌊

10th – 16th June 2024

June marks Bike Week, and there’s no better place to celebrate than the Isles of Scilly. Whether you’re an avid cyclist or just looking for a leisurely ride, Scilly offers breathtaking landscapes and picturesque trails that make every pedal an adventure. At Isles of Scilly Travel, we make it easy for you to bring your bike along or you can hire one once you arrive.

Here’s how you can enjoy a cycling getaway on these beautiful islands.

Getting to the Isles of Scilly with Isles of Scilly Travel

Reaching the Isles of Scilly is a breeze with Isles of Scilly Travel. Choose between two convenient travel options:

By sea

Take the Scillonian III ferry from Penzance. Enjoy a scenic sail, and arrive ready and raring to explore.

By air

Fly with Skybus from Land’s End, Newquay, or Exeter. A quick flight offers stunning aerial views of the islands before you even set foot on them.

Bringing Your Bike Along

Good news for cyclists! Isles of Scilly Travel allows you to bring your bike along, ensuring you can hit the ground riding as soon as you arrive.

On Scillonian III, bikes can be transported for a fee. Make sure to book in advance to secure space.

With Skybus, due to the size of the aircraft, we cannot accommodate bikes on flights.

But don’t worry—bike hire options are available on the islands, or you can book your bike to travel unaccompanied on Scillonian III.

Find out more about travelling with extra luggage items on board Scillonian III.

To book unaccompanied luggage on Scillonian III, you will need to contact our travel centre to arrange.  Then, simply drop your bikes down to the quay for check-in and collect at the other side.
